Behavioral/Mental Health Support
Our Behavioral Support Services are designed to assist individuals with a wide range of challenging behaviors that may impact their independence or community integration. Common challenging behaviors that interfere with daily life include self-injurious behaviors, aggression towards others, and elopement. These behaviors can stem from various factors, such as communication challenges, environmental triggers, biological factors, or medical issues, including medication side effects. Through a comprehensive behavioral assessment, the goal is to identify the function of the challenging behavior and develop strategies to meet the individual’s needs with more appropriate replacement behaviors.

- Behavioral assessment that evaluates challenging behaviors through a biopsychosocial model, considering multiple factors.
- Behavioral Support Plan that conducts Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA), utilizes evidence-based interventions, and highlights the strengths and desires of an individual.
- Behavioral Consultation that provides ongoing support, treatment, and monitoring of progress through person-centered approach.
- Staff/Caregiver training that empowers them to provide consistent and effective techniques with the individual.
- Therapeutic rapport that shows understanding and care with integration of trauma informed practice, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Empathy is key to unlocking hearts. When individuals are truly seen for who they are and understood for their unique experiences, the journey forward becomes enjoyable and meaningful.
