Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy (OT) focuses on living life to the fullest! Occupational therapists use evidenced based interventions to improve an individual’s functional participation in meaningful activity. The “occupation” in occupational therapy refers to activities: the necessary tasks that we perform daily to propel us through the day, and the activities we choose to do which give our lives meaning. The ability to have a choice and participate, if desired, in self-care, home management, vocation, leisure, and social activities is essential to live a fulfilling life and fosters a sense of accomplishment and self – sufficiency.
