Marcy Schlissel

Marcy Schlissel is a licensed occupational therapist in Maryland and Virginia who brings creativity and movement into her practice. A former dance artist and Pilates studio owner, she integrates her deep understanding of the mind-body connection into her work with clients. After earning her M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University, Marcy gained extensive experience supporting older adults in home health, assisted living, and skilled nursing settings. Today, she enjoys working with Makom’s clinical team to provide holistic, client-centered care. Marcy values collaboration and works closely with individuals, families, and staff to create sustainable wellness practices. She’s especially passionate about supporting the IDD community—helping clients build independence while finding joy and purpose in everyday life.
